Mendocino Whale Festival Schedule 2008 ORCA  and  CETACEAN CINEMAS present The Mendocino Whale Wars At Matheson Performing Arts Theater in Mendocino Saturday March 1, 2008 At the corner of Ford and Cahto Streets in Mendocino From Crown Hall a five minute walk north past the Post Office 1:00 pm Live Didgeridoo Opening Ceremony with the songs of whales & dolphins. 1:30 pm Film: The Great White Whale descendants of the Australian Mirning Tribe, their Creation Story and songs to the whales off Whale Rock, Australia. 1:45 pm A Children's Film: The Dolphin People - Healing interactions / kids swimming with dolphins. 2:15 pm Film: The Friendly Gray Whales - The Baja lagoons are the birthing grounds for the Gray - Journey with us and see Gray Whale-human interactions. 2:45 pm 15 minute break: Desserts, sea vegetable hors douvres, drinks 3:00 pm Film: The Mendocino Whale Wars - A film by Scott Barry: Documentary of the times and the village.
