Mendocino Whale Wars: The Film 2008 marks our first showing of the 1976 Film Classic: The Mendocino Whale Wars. The film is presented by filmmaker Scott Barry, who at the time was a newsman living near Mendocino. FROM THE VAULT: Original Mendocino Whale War memorabilia and archival photographs and footage of the 1976 boycott of Russian and Japanese products by businesses and townspeople alike. Mendocino Whale Festival: Save the Whales The Mendocino Whale Festival on March 1st 2008, The Fort Bragg Whale Festival on March 16th 2008, and the Gualala Whale Festival on April 5th 2008, will show viewings of several cetacean films including the one hour film and presentation by Scott Barry.
