In a press release, EPA explains that anticipated changes to product labels include the addition of pesticide buffer zones; application limitations based on wind speed, soil moisture and weather conditions; and fish mortality incident reporting requirements. New, enforceable labels could be available as early as the 2010 spring growing season. MLPA-I: To Be, Or Not To Be (in the process), That Is The Question The Marine Life Protection Act is about prevention; the prevention of local coastal cultural activities, prevention of fishing, prevention of democratic process by intrigue (it's a big game), prevention of integrated Marine Spatial Planning directives and a more moderate and realistic time frame to complete both seafloor and bathymetric layer information and placed based socio-economic impacts studies, and prevention of involvement. Members also established new levels of  protection for mariculture activities  (low), which had not been previously reviewed. Personally I like the phrase, "Enlightened Management" from the 'MLPA-Initiative Ecosystem Based Management approach and Adaptive Management Tools' language in the MLPA Master Plan Framework.
